Our school places a high priority upon Physical Education and Sports. We do agree with the premise that a healthy body goes hand in hand with a healthy mind. Our aim is to provide a fun and challenging environment where children can experience a range of opportunities to try to develop their aptitude within PE and Sports.
The schools’ Physical Activity Policy states that the aim is “To increase the activity levels of the whole school through the provision of a supportive environment conducive to the promotion of physical activity.” In addition it says “Our Lady’s Bishop Eton offers clubs and activities that are open to all ability levels to enable pupils to enjoy PE and sport in a non-competitive ethos that develops self-esteem and confidence”.
Mr Lewis coordinates our two specialist sports coaches, Mr Gadzina and Mr Carson to deliver the National Curriculum PE and a variety of team and individual sports throughout the year. The aim is to continue to offer after-school clubs, develop competitive school representative teams and provide the variety and level of activity to ensure that any child, of any ability can find enjoyment and fulfilment through personal accomplishment. Our ultimate aim is for any child to be able to say “I Can”
